Dr Molnar's expertise and subspecialty interests are in hip and knee surgery and in trauma, particularly the treatment of pelvic trauma.
Dr Molnar has been practicing in the St George since 2005. He also has a strong research focus and continually audits his practice and monitors outcomes in order to improve the service he offers his patients. He has a research assistant employed full time to oversee the various studies he is actively running or involved in. Many of his patients are invited to participate in research although they are under no obligation to do so. He oversees his own research as well as being part of a number of multicentre trials and also a member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Research Consortium.
Dr Molnar also participates in a number of teaching activities and regularly lectures to orthopaedic surgeons, orthopaedic trainees, medical students, nursing staff and others. He is a faculty member of AO Australasia and has presented at both local and international conferences.
